Who are we ?
Baby Skull is a French company founded by health professionals specializing in pediatrics in collaboration with parents of children with cranial deformities.
Aware of the difficulties, the lack of information, knowledge and practical solutions on Plagiocephaly and other cranial deformations, Baby Skull is committed to fighting this scourge of "flat head syndrome" in babies.
Our history
We, health professionals, received in consultation, hundreds of poor parents faced with the lack of information and advice from some of our colleagues. Some came to see specialists too late, others were told that a "flat head" was unimportant.
We found that they often noticed early on that the back of their baby's head had flattened.
They wondered if they would keep their skull deformities growing up? Is a flat skull normal? Can skull deformation in babies develop long-term complications? They asked themselves a multitude of questions, of worried parents.
Their entourage and all the health professionals they had met so far replied to them with the same catchphrases: "It will recover on its own. "When they have more hair, it will not be seen, it is only aesthetic ..." etc.
Almost all of them shared their feelings of guilt with us.
Yet they were doing their best.
They explained that they follow medical recommendations and do their best to help their children regain a round head.
But nothing helped.
Many felt helpless, without knowing what to do.
Faced with so many similar testimonies, lack of listening, care and following many exchanges between specialists and parents, we became aware of the importance of proposing solutions to this real problem.
It is this awareness associated with our desire to fight Plagiocephaly that were at the origin of the creation of Baby Skull.
It is therefore in synergy with osteopaths, physiotherapists, chiropractors, that the means offered by baby Skull should help protect the head of our babies.
